Health effects of Three Mile Island incident

“The infant death rate for Pennsylvania increased 32% after the accident while the national rate declined 10%. In the Harrisburg area, hospital records reported reveal an infant mortality rate of 280% above what it was before the accident. The deaths may be attributed to radioactive coding elements which collect in the thyroids of unborn babies.”

-Ernest Sternglass, Pittsburg University radiologist.
